AI is playing an increasing role in all aspects of the space enterprise: improving operations, enabling unique science, and enabling new mission classes to expand human horizons. This talk will cover recent advances to use AI for orbital and surface missions as well as future mission concepts based on AI capabilities to explore hostile, unknown, dynamic environments, ending with the key role AI must play in the search for life beyond Earth.
